Neil Foote is the founder of Foote Communications, an integrated marketing, publications and communications company.

The company has secured interviews with major media, including the Dallas Morning News, WFAA, KXAS-NBC 5, CBS-11, Fox4, WFAA, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Denton Record Chronicle, KERA’s Think, KRLD-AM News Radio, KHVN-97, Washington Post, New York Times, MSNBC, NBC, Wall Street Journal, the BBC, USA Today, Forbes, Newsweek, CNN, The Today Show, Regis & Kelly, Billboard, NPR, Ebony, Jet, Essence, Black Enterprise, TheRoot.com, Blavity, Rolling Out and AOL Black Voices.

 

The company also has organized/hosted press conferences, including inviting media for the Southwest Airlines Sky Shows, Tom Joyner’s annual “Fantastic Voyage” and “Family Reunion”.  It coordinated interviews for Joyner and all performing artists, including: Earth, Wind & Fire, Kenneth ‘BabyFace’ Edmonds, Common, Chris Brown, Lionel Richie, Jill Scott, Wanda Sykes, The O’Jays, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Ashanti, LL Cool J, Salt ‘N Pepa, Charlie Wilson, Bobby Brown, Big Daddy Kane, Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley, Tito Jackson, Smokie Norful, Bobby Jones, Shirley Caesar, Regina Belle, Doug E Fresh, Sinbad, Mark Curry, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake.

Additionally, Foote Communications write, edited and directed the design of the daily in-cabin cruise newsletter for the Fantastic Voyage as well as oversee the design and posting of digital signage throughout the cruises.

 

Foote Communications has served as the media relations director for the Tom Joyner Foundation, a 501c3 dedicated to working with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).  It currently serves as the Agency of Record (AOR) for the Denton Black Film Festival, a nationally recognized festival celebrating black filmmakers and storytellers from around the country.

Foote Communications also has managed public affairs and political outreach programs for Reach Media Inc. including:

  • Coordinating all of Joyner political outreach, including register to vote, go to vote efforts in 2004, 2008, 2012
  • Setting up live radio broadcast from the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston, which featured interviews with Chuck D, Michael Eric Dyson, Tavis Smiley, Cong. Harold Ford, Chakka Fattah and Rev. Al Sharpton
  • Setting up live broadcast from then Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama from his national headquarters in Chicago
  • Developing and implementing media outreach for 1-866-MYVOTE1 Voter Empowerment Hotline, which enabled callers to register to vote, get precinct locations and leave voice messages to chronicle voter suppression. Secured partnerships with NAACP, National Urban League, National Action Network, Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law
