Once Homeless, Texas Baseball Standout Jordan Myrow Sets Eyes on Next Phase

HOUSTON, May 10, 2018 – Jordan Myrow, one of the most dynamic baseball players to play for San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas in recent years, has his eyes set on the next phase of his promising baseball career.

The 5-foot, 11-inch, 195-pound, right-handed, outfielder from Los Angeles is baseball-draft-eligible and ranked by Major League Baseball as a five-tool with a plus upside play. The Los Angeles native is a strong hitter with a strong arm who has been playing baseball as long as he can remember.  An outstanding star at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., Myrow is inspired by baseball greats Jackie Robinson, Ken Griffey Jr. and Gary Sheffield.

At Notre Dame, he was a four-year varsity baseball letter winner, leading his team to division championships. By the time he graduated, Myrow had racked up an impressive list of achievements, including hitting .299 with two home runs and 10 RBIs and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in just 27 games. In 2014, he participated in the highly selective Area Code games and has played in the USA Tournament of the Stars. Additionally, during that same year, Myrow recorded one of the fastest outfield velocity in the country at the Perfect Game National Showcase.

After a year at UCLA, Myrow moved to play at San Jacinto where he has distinguished himself in just 20 games with a batting average of .400, an OBP of .512, with 20 runs scored, 14 RBI, three home runs, and five doubles.
